Bathroom Product Organization

We see a lot of products while organizing bathrooms. Just like our wardrobe, we tend to only use about 20% of the products we own. Whether they cause our skin to breakout, they weigh our hair down, or it turned out to be a shade of color that we really wanted to love but just don’t, now we are stuck storing them until we feel it’s been long enough that we can toss them without guilt.

First thing first: if you get something new…try it! I know this sounds crazy, but I know so many people that never enjoy their products. They are either waiting for the perfect moment to use it or it gets lost in the mix of all their products. Plus, if you try it shortly after you buy it, you can return it if you don't love it or share it with a friend that might like it. At minimum, this ensures your investment doesn't go directly into the trash.

Once you’ve tried it and decide to keep it, now what? Organize by type so it's easy for you to shop your creams, serums, etc. We typically have a few great go-to bins that we find helpful. The goal is to maximize the storage that you have and add it where it’s needed. As with all areas in your home, the key is to edit first. Then you organize and plan what bins and tools will work best for your needs.

Pro tip: Keep out-of-season lotions and creams off the counter or easy to access drawers. Just like swapping our your summer and winter wardrobe, you can swap your products.
